Types of Metal Roofing We Offer

From modern standing seam roofs to cost-effective exposed fastener panels, we offer metal roofing systems built to withstand Calgary's snow, wind, hail, and extreme temperature changes.

Standing Seam Metal Roofing

We install mechanically locked standing seam roofs from 24-gauge Canadian steel (Cascadia Metals, zinc coating on both sides).

The panels are secured with concealed clips, then mechanically locked together on site, creating a continuous seam without exposed screws. Every standing seam roof is installed over a high-temperature ice & water shield for maximum waterproof protection. We also inspect the roof deck before installation and replace any damaged/ rotten plywood if needed.

Because the panels are installed directly onto durable plywood rather than lumber strapping, they provide excellent support during the hail storms that often occur in northern Calgary and are much less likely to suffer even minor damage.

Standing seam roofs can be customized. Panels are available in 12", 14", and 16" widths, with 1", 1½", or 2" seam heights. They also suit for curved or any other complex roof geometry. Choose from matte or gloss finishes in classic colours like black, white, charcoal, or many other bold colours (red, green, corten or blue).
metal board and batten siding

Snap-Lock Metal Roofing

Metal Board and Batten Siding is a top choice in the LUX Metal Siding collection. Its vertical design creates sharp shadow lines and adds depth to any exterior. With hidden fasteners and precisely made panels, it looks modern and performs well in Calgary’s tough weather.

If you want a smooth, modern look for your home, seamless steel siding is a great option. With fewer visible seams and careful installation, it gives your exterior a polished finish and helps protect your home from moisture and harsh weather.

Metal Board and Batten Siding comes in many colours and finishes, so it pairs well with stone, wood accents, metal roofing, and other modern materials. This siding is durable, looks great for years, and needs little upkeep.

At KVINT Construction, we install LUX Metal Siding, including Metal Board and Batten and other steel profiles. We pay close attention to every detail, from panel layout to finishing, to make sure your siding looks great and lasts.
corrugated metal siding calgary

Metal Shingles (Aluminum)

Corrugated metal siding features a repeating ribbed pattern that gives buildings extra strength and a distinctive look. While it was once mostly used for barns and factories, it is now a popular choice for modern homes, garages, shops, restaurants, and commercial spaces.

We install corrugated metal siding for homes and businesses across Calgary because it's very versatile. You can use it to cover a whole building or as an accent to add contrast with materials like wood, stone, brick, or smooth panels. With different profiles and finishes, it can look industrial, modern, or rustic.

Corrugated panels create natural shadow lines that shift as the light changes, adding texture and depth to the building’s exterior. They come in a variety of rib patterns, colours, and finishes to match many architectural styles, and are easy to install. We plan each project carefully to ensure the panels are laid out properly, the flashing is done correctly, and the finished look matches your building’s design.
Wood-Look Metal Siding

Metal Tile Roofing

Metal siding that looks like wood gives you the natural beauty of timber without the upkeep that real wood needs. Thanks to advanced coatings, you get realistic wood grain patterns and rich colours, so you enjoy the warmth of wood along with the strength and reliability of steel.

Unlike real wood, metal siding that looks like wood does not need regular staining or repainting to keep it looking good. The factory finish gives every panel the same colour and texture, so your home has a clean, even look that works well with both modern and classic styles.

Wood grain steel siding comes in several wood-inspired finishes and pairs well with stone, brick, stucco, or metal roofing. You can use it to cover your whole exterior or as an accent to highlight entryways, gables, dormers, and other features.

At KVINT Construction, we install metal siding that looks like wood for homes and businesses in Calgary and nearby areas. Many people pick this siding because it looks like cedar and other woods but has the strength and long life of steel. It is a great option for custom homes, mountain-style houses, lake houses, and modern developments.
vertical metal siding

Stone-Coated Metal Roofs

Whether you are starting a new project or updating your current siding, our team installs high-quality vertical metal siding panels with careful alignment, clean details, and even spacing. We pay close attention to architectural design, so your exterior looks polished from every angle.

Vertical metal siding is now a key element in modern architecture. It creates clean lines that make buildings look taller and highlight their shape. This style is popular for custom homes, duplexes, commercial spaces, and renovations that aim for a minimalist look.

Metal siding panels now come in many widths, profiles, and reveal sizes. This gives architects and homeowners the freedom to design anything from simple, uniform exteriors to bold, standout looks. Vertical siding also works well with large windows.

For a more polished look, standing seam metal siding uses narrow, precisely made panels with hidden fasteners and sharp shadow lines. These systems are often used for both roofs and walls, creating smooth transitions between different parts of a building and keeping the design clean and continuous.
aluminum siding

AG Panels Roofing

Aluminum siding is a lightweight and corrosion-resistant option for your exterior. It offers a clean, modern look and needs very little upkeep. This makes it a great choice for custom homes, commercial buildings, or renovations where you want something durable that will last.

Aluminum siding does not rust like many other materials and stands up well to Alberta's changing weather. You can choose from many colours, styles, and finishes, so it works for both modern and classic designs.

When installed by professionals, aluminum siding panels line up neatly and create smooth transitions, giving your building lasting protection. At KVINT Construction, our team uses top-quality aluminum siding that looks great and performs well for years to come.

Along with traditional aluminum siding, we install Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP) for commercial buildings, custom homes, and feature walls. We use top systems like AL13, QuickPanel, and ALUCOBOND® to create clean, modern facades with precise installation and lasting quality.

Metal Siding Cost in Calgary

The price of metal siding may vary depending on things like the type of panel, material, finish, size of your project, and how complex the installation is. Since every home is unique, we create a detailed estimate using your property’s size, design features, and chosen steel siding panels. Our team will walk you through the different metal siding options and suggest what works best for your style and budget. If you want to know the exact cost of metal siding in Calgary, contact KVINT Construction for a free estimate with no obligation. We’ll go over each part of the quote so you understand what you’re paying for before any work starts.

Standard Metal Siding for Residential & Commercial Buildings

Metal siding is a strong and practical choice for homes and businesses. If you are updating a house, garage, workshop, store, warehouse, or farm building, steel panels offer a neat look and come in many colours and styles to fit your needs. At KVINT Construction, we use high-end LUX steel panels, hidden fastener systems, and different steel siding styles. You can install metal siding panels either vertically or horizontally, depending on your building’s design. We make sure every job includes the right trims, flashings, and weatherproof details.

Custom Architectural Metal Cladding

Custom architectural cladding is a great choice when standard siding panels do not give you the look you want or fit your project’s unique needs. Rather than using prefabricated systems, we make components that match the size, layout, and design of each building. Architectural cladding systems often use custom-made bending elements, corner pieces, window and door trim, cornices, fascia panels, parapet caps, and transition pieces to create a smooth, seamless look. Each part is made to fit the wall system exactly, giving you clean panel lines and hidden fasteners where needed.

Metal Cladding Made Easy – What Affects Your Final Cost?

A question we often get is, "How much does metal siding cost?" The answer is not just about square footage. Even if two buildings look similar in size, the amount of fabrication, detailing, and labour can be very different. For example, a basic rectangular garage with standard panels is a much simpler project than a custom home with several rooflines, recessed entrances, large windows, and special architectural features.

The type of metal cladding you pick also affects the final price. Standard exposed-fastener panels, concealed fastener systems, standing seam wall panels, and custom architectural cladding each need different manufacturing, installation, and finishing steps. Some projects use standard trims, but others need custom flashings made just for your building.

Besides the cladding, every estimate takes into account the condition of your walls, insulation needs, weather barrier prep, how easy the building is to access, and how much custom work is needed around windows, doors, corners, soffits, and roof transitions. These factors often decide how long the job will take and how much material needs to be made before starting.

Since every project is different, KVINT Construction creates detailed estimates based on your specific building instead of using general square-foot pricing. We want to give you an accurate proposal that shows the real scope of work, so you know exactly what is included before construction begins.

We just finished a siding project with KVINT Construction. The guys were friendly, professional, they showed up on time every day, worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves (which I really appreciate). Pricing was fair for the quality we got, and communication was great the whole way through. If you’re thinking about doing new siding or roofing in Calgary, don’t hesitate - these are the people you have to hire. KVINT did an awesome job, and I’d absolutely call them again for roof replacement next year!

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About Siding in Calgary
How long does steel siding last?
If installed by professionals and cared for properly, high-quality steel siding can last 40 years or even longer. How long it lasts depends on things like the steel’s quality, its galvanized coating, the paint used at the factory, and how well it was installed. Good flashing, ventilation, and moisture control also help prevent early damage. Unlike wood, steel does not rot or attract insects, so it is one of the most durable choices for exterior siding.
Does steel siding rust?
Modern steel siding is designed to resist rust. Most panels have a galvanized zinc coating and a tough finish from the factory that protects the metal from moisture and daily wear. When installed properly, these layers help the siding stay attractive and last for decades. Rust does not happen often, but it can appear if the protective coating is badly damaged, if exposed edges are not treated, or if water sits against the siding because of poor drainage or installation. This is why it is important to hire an experienced installer, not just use good materials. By checking your siding now and then and fixing any damage quickly, you can keep steel siding rust-free for many years.
Can steel siding be installed over existing siding?
Sometimes, steel siding can go over old siding, but we usually don’t suggest it. What’s underneath matters just as much as the new siding. Before starting, it’s important to check the sheathing, framing, insulation, and moisture barrier for water damage, mould, or other problems. Putting new siding over old siding can hide issues that may get worse over time. If there is rotten or damaged sheathing underneath, the whole system is built on a weak foundation. Even the strongest steel siding won’t work well if the structure below is already damaged. We recommend taking off the old siding before putting up new steel siding. This way, we can fix any damaged wood, improve the insulation if needed, and make sure the walls are solid before the new panels are installed. It takes a bit more effort at first, but it leads to a stronger, longer-lasting exterior and can help you avoid costly repairs later.
Does steel siding withstand Calgary hail?
Steel siding is one of the most impact-resistant options for exterior cladding. This makes it a popular choice in places like Calgary North: Saddle Ridge, Taradale, Redstone, Cornerstone, Sage Hill, Hidden Valley, Panorama Hills, Coventry Hills, where hailstorms happen often. Unlike vinyl siding, which can crack or break when hit, steel is much better at resisting dents and damage. How well steel siding stands up to hail depends on the thickness of the steel, the shape of the panels, and how well they are installed. Thicker steel and good installation usually mean better protection in bad weather. Even though very large hail can leave dents, steel siding usually keeps protecting your home without cracking, splitting, or needing to be replaced right away.
